Biography

Like a magician.... László Ámon was longing for ethereal purity and endless charity. With his soft words he was always able to hint at his being with one foot in the aforementioned spheres. When he worked he completely placed himself in the transcendental fields. Probably this was the reason that he had a lot in common with sci-fi literature. In his pictures he tamed the fantastic into lyrical. The hyper-realists are very close to him. But what makes his art individual, or better to say "ámonic" is the following idea of his: look, we are small planets in the galaxy. He, as a grandiose master of graphics, made it visible for us with his precise drawing technique. Like a magician. He made the mortal body leave its coat, its mask. But the soul is still there in his pictures. We can bravely say: till the end of time.

László Ámon was born on 28th October, 1951 in Gyor.

As a youngster aged twenty, leaving behind a happy childhood he moved to Budapest together with his would be wife. He worked and in different studios carried on studies of art.
